Finding care and support in India

Care needs to work for your family as well as your child's treatment plan. Use these starting points to ask about a Ponseti team, brace access and the practicalities of returning for follow-up.

Caregivers review medical records with a clinician.

An official starting point: CURE India

CURE India runs a clubfoot programme. Its official contact page is a starting point for asking about services near you. Confirm the clinic location, appointment process, current availability, costs and any support offered before travelling. The official programme and contact pages were checked on 30 September 2026; local services can change.

Look for the whole care pathway

Look for a team experienced in the full Ponseti pathway — not only casting, but also brace access, follow-up and relapse management.

  • Ask about the team's Ponseti training and who provides each part of care.
  • Ask how brace fitting, growth checks and replacement are arranged.
  • Find out who will answer concerns between appointments.

Plan the practical details

  • Ask which documents, referrals or appointments are needed before a visit.
  • Discuss the expected visits, travel and caregiver arrangements with the team.
  • Ask which treatment, brace and travel costs you may need to plan for; confirm any assistance directly.
  • If changing clinics, ask both teams how records and ongoing care will be handed over.
